Carved salt pot in weathered green

Hand-carved stoneware salt pot,  with small ceramic spoon shaped by hand. Perfect for salt, sugar or condiments.

 

The pot and lid were thrown on the wheel, then trimmed, carved, dried, and fired to 925 degrees Celcius. They were then sanded, washed and glazed, before being fired again to 12300 degrees C.
