Lessons & Workshops

Whether you're completely new to pottery or a hobbyist looking to refine your skills, these pottery lessons are designed to meet you where you are. Maybe you have a specific project in mind or a technique you’d like to explore further—or you're simply seeking a peaceful, creative escape in a tranquil setting. Hosted in my custom-built studio in Menai Bridge, these lessons offer a few hours to connect with the joy of creating.

"It was pure joy! Harriet's lovely studio has incredible views over the mountains. Harriet was so welcoming, very helpful of course, and made the session such fun. I'm drinking coffee from one of the mugs I made as I write..."

The Studio

All lessons and workshops take place in my garden studio in Menai Bridge—a true labour of love that my partner, father, and I built from the ground up in 2024. Bright and welcoming, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to suit the rhythms and practicalities of working with clay. With views stretching across the Menai Strait to the mountains of Eryri, it’s a space that feels both grounding and inspiring—the perfect place to slow down and create.

What do I offer?

I offer tailored one-to-one and small-group lessons and workshops, designed to keep things personal and hands-on, as this feels like the best way to share what I love about working with clay. Occasionally throughout the year I also offer themed one-off workshops. To stay up-to-date about upcoming workshops and lesson releases, feel free to sign up to my mailing list.

As well as tailored teaching and guidance, all sessions include tools, materials, and firing costs for the specified number of pieces. You’ll also have access to my collection of pottery books and resources for inspiration during your session.

Availability

I balance teaching with my own studio practice, so availability is sometimes limited. If you don’t see any open slots listed, it simply means all current sessions are fully booked. I update my schedule regularly and release new dates on a rolling basis—up to five weeks in advance.

If you'd like to be the first to hear when new sessions become available, you can register your interest here and receive a notification as soon as fresh dates are released. I’d love to welcome you to the studio when a spot opens up!
