Faceted stem vase 5

A small faceted stem vase, wheel-thrown with thicker walls before being freely carved and gently altered to create an organic, asymmetric form. Shell imprints add a tactile detail and a connection to the Anglesey coastline. Finished in a semi opaque glaze that interacts with the clay body durign the wood firing, producing speckle and burnt rusty colours. This little vase is ideal for a few gathered stems or as a standalone piece. 

 

Vase is approximately 9.5cm tall.
